Imagination 3 yr old style

Caroline loves the new Taylor Swift video Love Story. We have it on DVR for her to watch. It is a live performance at the CMA awards. If you did not see it, Taylor starts off in a purple dress, singing a Romeo and Juliet love song, and eventually as in all fairy tales the princess and the prince end up together. Taylor ends up in a white dress. Here is Caroline acting out the video. I have to say, she thought of this all by herself. Greg and I were hysterical. We are sending the photo shoot to Taylor.

Honest..she made me put the purple dress over the white dress and was telling me to hurry up and take it off at the appropriate moment....

The big change....

VOILA!

Caroline 'feels' the music. Her dance movements lately are very similar to ice dancers, (which she has never seen) combined with a gymnastic ballet move. Very interpretive. Here she is with her prince. Yes she dressed herself.

Snow Days, her absolute favorite weather. She can stay out all day and play.

She is so so funny.

Storytime with Caroline

Last night while putting Caroline to bed, after Daddy read a story and we did a sticker book, I turned off the light and we made up a story. It was about Caroline going to the store and meeting a new friend, Hello Kitty. Caroline invited Kitty over to her house for a sleepover. Caroline's Mommy called Kitty's Mommy and asked her if it was OK. She said YES! Caroline and Kitty were walking back to Caroline's house for dinner. Kitty had her PJ's and blankie. When they arrived at Caroline's house, Mommy had a snack ready. They were hungry. Mommy suggested that Caroline take Kitty downstairs to the playroom and show her all of her toys. Caroline asked, Where is Kitty's Mommy? Isn't she coming over too? No, Caroline Kitty is staying all by herself! Oh NO, she gasped. No, she is going to be sad. No she won't Caroline, Kitty knows that her Mommy is in her heart and will always be there. She is really excited to see her tomorrow and tell her all about her night with you! Just like I am always in your heart and you are in mine. I can feel you all the time. Caroline replied squeezing her heart...ohhhhh Mommy, ohhhh I love you!

It was so funny that even in a made up story she was thinking about separation. My girl...you gotta love her. I hope she always feels this close to me.
