Caroline-isms and funny stories

Caroline in Greg's office bathroom hearing a woman in the next stall peeing.
-Yayyyyyyyyyy!!! Clapping her hands for the woman's accomplishment....

Caroline every night asks her brother Rick (19) to brush her teeth. He is the only one who can do it. Now she has added the task of brushing his teeth. It is hysterical to watch this. She asks him to open his mouth and sing ahhhhh. Then they rinse together. She picked out Crayola kids first flossing tools and has added this to their routine. Dark blue for him and pink for her. He is such a great guy. I need to video this.

At Target yesterday with her friend. We had a snack and it was time to leave. So she took Caitlin by the hand and they both walked to the ladies room together. Proudly.....

Caroline used the downstairs bathroom to poop and then later used the upstairs bathroom. While on the potty upstairs she is singing poo poo down and poo poo up. Only a parent could love that song!!!

Training update!

I 'worked' with Caroline this weekend on her potty skills! I am happy to say that she got it! Pretty much on her own. Yesterday she did not even have an accident. I guess when they are ready they are ready. I let her run around in a t shirt or swim shirt and no underwear or diaper. We didn't have any plans so I figured it was the time to do it. I stayed around the house Fri - Sun and by Sun she did not want a diaper for her nap. Yesterday she used the bathroom at art class and at the library. (I brought the potty seat with me because I can't stand public bathrooms) You should have heard my friend and I telling the girls not to touch anything. It was hysterical! BTW she sits on the potty and says tinkle tinkle tinkle (of course it sounds like tickle tickle and claps and shouts yay when she goes) All the while, I am saying to her don't touch anything, don't touch that, hold this, a wipe, to occupy her hands which are, of course, all over the place. I sound so neurotic. People probably think we are crazy. Oh well. Hopefully, we are on our way. Next goal, working on separating this wonderful girl from my hip...hey, I can only do one thing at a time.
